3D-printing in healtcare applications (T3D)
T3D -project
Healthcare is one of the most common application areas for 3D printing globally, and many hospitals now have their own internal 3D printing units. However, development in Finland is lagging behind. In the North Savo region, there are several companies operating in the health technology sector, where 3D printing could offer additional opportunities.
The project 3D-printing in Healthcare Applications (T3D) aims to investigate and map out the requirements for 3D-printing in healthcare applications from the perspective of regulatory authorities. In addition, the project will conduct a situational analysis and promote networking related to healthcare 3D printing both in Finland and across Europe.
The project will initiate and expand collaboration so that healthcare actors in Kuopio recognize the potential and applications of 3D-printing and understand how they can utilize the technology when needed.
